As an educator I believe that it is my responsibility to create an inclusive and safe learning environment through use of effective research-based classroom management techniques.  With guidance, practice and continued support students can learn to manage their own behavior and study habits so that they may achieve socially and academically.  It is my job to inspire students with lesson planning that is academically challenging as well as sensitive to diverse cultures and local communities.  With these elements in place students can create work that is meaningful to them.  By continuing my involvement in professional activities I will learn and grow just as my students do.
