STOP DROP AND ROLL

This picture was taken during the Fire Safety assembly. The students were able to truly see a simulation of what it would be like if they were stuck in a room that was filled with smoke.

The Roof is on Fire

Now that the room was "on fire" the next step is to leave through the nearest exit.

This was a really great assembly.

Who Borrowed Mr. Bear crime scene

This was the crime scene that was set up for the Family Engagement project

Crime Scene investigation

As part of the crime scene, there are stuffed animals, cookie and pie crumbs, foot prints, fingerprints and spilled soda.

The parents are shown sitting in their chairs eating the breakfast that was provided for them and observing the crime scene.

Here is one particular student who is working with his father to solve the mystery of the borrowed bear.

Still don't know who did it

Solving the mystery

One Mother helped boys and girls to determine who they thought borrowed Mr. Bear. The students had to put a post it above the picture of the suspect who they thought was guilty

Busy Bee Unit

After the second lesson of the honeybee unit, the boys and girls created honeybees out of egg cartons. The cartons were then hung up on the bulletin board outside of the classroom

Busy Bee Beehive

On the bee hive are various worker bee jobs. Around the beehive are bees with each student's name. The student's bee is next to their particular job.

Egg Carton Bee

As their first assessment, the students had to make an anatomically correct egg carton bee

Student Teachers

Myself with a fellow student teacher, Ms. Dudich. We collaborated on lesson plans, and unit ideas. We also provided each other with moral support and helping hands throughout our student teaching experience at Franklin Elementary.
