I tried to copy and paste the information from Word documents to the the Web page, but the format was changed. What can I do about the loss of the format?
The format of the document may be altered after the conversion. The best way to get around it is to provide an original document in Word or in PDF. Add a link to the file for others to download and view. It's a good idea to include the Word or PowerPoint documents in format of MS Office 2003 instead of 2007. Follow the steps below to add a link to the file to be downloaded and viewed:
- First drag the PDF/ PPT/ Word file into the Folder List.
- Enter a line: Click here to view the PDF/ PPT/ Word file.
- Highlight the word "here".
- Choose Insert > Hyperlink.
- Select the PDF/ PPT/ Word file from the list for the link.
- Save the file and press F12 to view it in the browser.
Can I include my students’ pictures?
You can show your students’ pictures if you have parental permissions.
You can show students at work and their work samples without revealing their identity.
You can use graphics programs, such as Photoshop to blur the students’ faces on the pictures.
You can include a disclaimer on your Welcome page, indicating that you’ve been discrete about the information, and you are willing to consider making modifications for any portion of the page if there is a concern.
Can I use different format instead of the TOC-Content layout?
You can design your own Web layout. Simply rename your home page as "index.htm."
Make sure you provide links to all your Web content on every single page.
